3 common problems with computer moving head lights

In stage lighting systems, it is often necessary to use computer-generated moving head lights to enhance the stage effect and render the stage atmosphere. There are three common issues to pay attention to when using and maintaining a computer moving head light:

1. The light bulb is aging and no longer lights up after being turned off

Light bulbs generally have a normal working life. As the bulb ages, its brightness decreases, and when the bulb goes out and the light fixture is controlled to rotate, only the lamp body rotates again, and the bulb does not light up.

Correct method: Clean the light bulb and do a good job in dust and moisture prevention; After using up the lighting fixtures, turn off the lights with the control panel for a period of time, and then cut off the power to effectively dissipate heat.

2. The lamp body does not rotate and emits strong noise

After installing the stage computer effect lights and dialing the code, the dimming table controls the lights to only emit light without rotation, and makes a clicking noise. There are mainly three situations related to rotating machinery:

1. During transportation, failure to pay attention to shock resistance may result in mechanical damage;

2. Internal mechanical circuit wiring, which may detach during lifting or installation;

3. Forgetting to open the rotary switch, which is in a locked state, and forcibly opening it can easily burn out the mechanical circuit.

Correct method: Before installing the computer shaking head light, unlock the rotary switch below and then test the performance of the equipment by powering it on; If there are any problems during testing, check for any signs of damage caused by falling, return to the manufacturer for timely replacement, and require proper earthquake prevention measures; After the test is successful, install the equipment with care when handling.

3. The automatic light off does not work, and then it lights up normally

When starting to use the lights, there are no problems at all. After a long period of disuse, the device will automatically turn off after a while and then not work. After a period of time, it can be used normally again, but soon it will stop working, and so on. There is too much internal dust accumulation, equipment fan failure, and there is a protective mechanism inside the computer shaking head light. When the temperature rises to a certain value, it automatically shuts down and restarts when the temperature drops. This is why there are stop and go incidents.

Correct method: After the installation of the equipment, clean the lighting fixtures and turn on the equipment at regular intervals to avoid excessive dust accumulation affecting the operation of the fan and equipment circuit; Gently vacuum out the accumulated dust inside the lamp with a vacuum cleaner, wipe off the surface particles with odorless cotton paper or cotton cloth soaked in water, and then dry it off; Timely replace the air filter cotton to ensure optimal ventilation and enhance the heat dissipation performance of the moving head lamp. If a malfunction occurs, remove the light fixture and send it to the manufacturer for repair. Do not disassemble the interior of the light fixture and repair it yourself.
