Lighting precautions

1. Half an hour before the start of the show, turn on all devices, perform low-temperature preheating, and simultaneously inspect all devices and circuits. Low temperature state refers to the condition where the light is only slightly bright;

2. After preheating for fifteen minutes, reset all devices to zero and allow them to dissipate heat for at least fifteen minutes;

3. After dissipating heat, you can officially enter the music performance stage;

4. After the performance ends and the guests leave, the lighting engineer should turn off all equipment and allow it to dissipate heat for fifteen to twenty minutes. Then, the equipment should be sealed or covered before the lighting engineer can leave.

The maintenance and upkeep of lighting equipment is relatively complex and tedious compared to sound systems. Basically, it involves daily routine inspections, weekly regular inspections, monthly equipment maintenance, and appropriate debugging;

The routine testing scope includes:

1. Can the light bulb light up normally;

2. Are all devices connected properly;

3. Whether all devices can be used normally, including light control switches, color changer controls, computer light actions, etc;

4. Can the DMX512 signal control the lighting fixtures normally

5. Whether the special effects equipment is functioning properly and filled with the required materials, such as smoke machines, fog machines, snowflake machines, bubble machines, etc; stage lighting

Regular weekly testing

In addition to conducting daily monitoring of all items, the following points should also be noted during weekly regular testing:

1. During the weekly inspection, the main focus is on checking the connections of the equipment, including power connections, DMX512 connections, etc., to see if there are any looseness, breakpoints, etc;

2. At the same time, during the weekly inspection, the lamp position and DMX512 programming should be adjusted comprehensively;

Monthly equipment maintenance and appropriate adjustments

In addition to conducting daily monitoring and weekly inspections, monthly adjustments will be a very meticulous task that requires coordination from multiple departments, such as actors, bands, weak current, security, cleaning, etc. At the same time, during monthly inspections, the following tasks must be completed.

1. Lamp position adjustment; Because some light positions may shift or change in the guest area during use, resulting in changes in light positions, it is necessary to adjust the position every month, including DMX512 signal controlled computer lights;

2. Testing of mechanical equipment, including computer light motors, color changer motors, nozzles for special effects equipment, etc;

3. Check all circuits. Check for breakpoints, damages, and electrical leakage, as various unexpected situations may occur in the circuit due to human factors during use, such as broken exposed wires, frequently plugged or unplugged wires with breakpoints, occasional leakage or short circuits caused by spilled drinks, etc.

Therefore, this inspection should be very careful. This detection requires weak electricity to cooperate and complete;

4. Clean the dust and garbage inside and outside the lamp. During use, lighting itself may contain some garbage, such as debris left inside the lamp body from bulb explosions.

In addition, computer lights and special effects machinery that have been exposed in the audience area for a long time are prone to falling into some garbage, such as ribbon strips, glass shards, and residual liquids from alcoholic beverages. So it is necessary to wipe off the external garbage and dirt of the lamp,

and remove the garbage inside the lamp, which requires cleaning cooperation;

5. Check all fire prevention equipment. Lighting and sound systems are the most concentrated occupations in electrical circuits, with strong electrical input and weak electrical output. There are many related equipment and wires, so fire prevention is of utmost importance in lighting work.

In the monthly routine inspection, it is necessary to cooperate with the security department to conduct comprehensive testing of all fire prevention facilities and firefighting equipment, including the normality of firefighting equipment, whether the selection of firefighting equipment is normal,
